The latest information from Emily Galton, your Community Health & Engagement Officer
Hi, I’m Emily Galton, the Community Health & Engagement Officer for the West Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight Wheelchair & Repair Service. I have extensive knowledge of living and working with various disabilities – I’m a mother of a disabled child, and I’ve been a carer for adults, young people and my parents. I look forward to meeting many of you whilst working in this role!
RECENT FEEDBACK
NewsWe have recently had some positive feedback from some service users, and SPECTRUM CIL who our Community Health Engagement Officer had the pleasure of joining virtually for their staff meeting, to discuss potential joint working and gain vital feedback from wheelchair service users. Here are some of the positive comments we’ve received:
Virtual Coffee Morning – with SPCF
Events, NewsEmily, the Community Health Engagement Officer will be joining Vickey Kowal (Southampton Parent Carer Forum Coordinator) and other parents/carers on Thursday 3rd March for a virtual coffee morning. Emily is keen to hear from parents/carers/service users and get their views on the wheelchair service in Hampshire. We are always keen to hear of constructive feedback, in order to review and make positive improvements to the wheelchair service in Hampshire, Southampton and the Isle of Wight. We regularly meet with the CCG. The details of how to join the meeting can be found below.
Walk Through Video of the Chandlers Ford Wheelchair Service Centre in Hampshire
Events, NewsOur Cheo Emily created this walk through video of the wheelchair service center in Chandlers Ford. This is a great way for you to get an idea about our service center in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire, and what you can expect when you come for an appointment. We do have disabled parking bays, a disabled toilet, and the clinic rooms are all located on the ground floor, with ramp access to the building.
We understand that it can be daunting to go somewhere you’ve never been before, or you’re unsure about the layout and facilities. We hope this video can help to put service users at ease before they attend an appointment. This is just one way in which we are trying to become a more inclusive service.
